Why is the CushionX court surface at LPC so good? The CushionX court system at LPC has a thin layer of cushion beneath the court surface. At a glance, the surface looks and feels just like a high-quality gritty outdoor pickleball court. However, when scientifically tested, CushionX showed to have an impact resistance of 80 pounds. This is a very important feature of CushionX. This means that the bounce of a pickleball is not negatively affected by this thin layer of cushion -- because a pickleball can't generate 80 pounds of force. But our body's can generate 80 pounds of force (and much greater), and that's what provides the true health benefits of CushionX: • Less wear and tear on joints • Especially beneficial for feet, ankles, knees, hips and back • Faster recovery • Less injuries • More time playing
